Rasheedat Ajibade and Paris Saint-Germain have secured their place in the 2026/27 UEFA Women’s Champions League league phase after completing their qualification campaign.
The French club was among the nine teams to advance from the third qualifying round on Wednesday, joining nine clubs that had already secured automatic places in the 18-team league phase. UEFA confirmed the final line-up following the conclusion of the qualifying ties.
Ajibade, captain of the Super Falcons, will now have the opportunity to compete against some of Europe’s leading clubs as PSG prepare for the new-look league phase.
The 2026/27 competition is the second season to feature an 18-team league phase, replacing the traditional group-stage format. Each team will play six different opponents, with three matches at home and three away.
The 18 qualified clubs are Barcelona, Arsenal, Manchester City, Chelsea, Bayern Munich, OL Lyonnes, Paris FC, Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid, Roma, Juventus, Inter, Benfica, Häcken, Austria Wien, HB Køge, OH Leuven and Servette.

The teams will be divided into three seeding pots, with each club drawn against two opponents from each pot, playing one home and one away fixture against teams from each seeding group. Clubs from the same association cannot be drawn against each other.
The league-phase draw is scheduled for Friday, September 4, at 12:00 CET in Nyon, Switzerland, with the opening matches set for September 22 and 23.
The format will make every match important, with the top four teams in the final standings advancing directly to the quarter-finals.
Teams finishing fifth to 12th will enter the knockout phase play-offs for the remaining four quarter-final places, while clubs placed 13th to 18th will be eliminated from the competition.
For Ajibade, PSG’s qualification provides another opportunity to compete at the highest level of European women’s club football as the Nigerian midfielder continues her career with one of France’s leading clubs.
