Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, has celebrated his 57th birthday, expressing gratitude to God for the gift of life and his journey in public service.

Adeola, who represents Ogun West Senatorial District in the National Assembly, shared his birthday message on X on Monday, thanking God for His “abundant grace, mercy, protection and faithfulness” throughout his life. He is also the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the 2027 Ogun State governorship election, having emerged as the party’s flagbearer after its primary.

“As I mark another year today, my heart is filled with profound gratitude to Almighty God for the gift of life, His abundant grace, mercy, protection and faithfulness throughout my journey,” he wrote.

He said every chapter of his life and opportunity to serve had been made possible by God’s grace.

The APC governorship candidate also expressed appreciation to his wife and children for their “unwavering love, understanding, prayers and sacrifices,” describing them as his strongest pillar and a constant source of strength and inspiration.

Adeola extended his gratitude to political associates, friends, supporters, elders and leaders, as well as the people who had stood by him over the years.

“I also sincerely appreciate our revered elders and leaders, my political associates, friends, supporters and the good people who have stood by me through the years. Your prayers, counsel, confidence, loyalty and goodwill mean so much to me,” he added.

Reflecting on his new age, Adeola said he was rededicating himself to serving God, humanity and the people, with renewed strength and commitment to making a positive difference.

“At 57, I rededicate myself to the service of God, humanity and our people, with renewed strength and an even greater commitment to making a positive difference,” he said.

He also prayed for continued divine guidance and more opportunities for shared celebrations.

“May Almighty God continue to guide our paths and grant us many more reasons to celebrate together,” Adeola said.
