“What’s wrong with me?” — Lady breaks up with boyfriend after he stopped her from closing window in Safari

A woman has recounted how a terrifying encounter with a lion during a self-drive safari ended her relationship after her partner locked her car window while the wild animal approached.

The woman said she had taken the man on the safari as part of his birthday celebration. While they were driving through the wildlife reserve, they spotted several lions and stopped to take pictures.

According to her, one of the lions suddenly stood up and began approaching their vehicle, turning what had started as a fun birthday outing into a frightening experience.

Lion approaches car as woman struggles to close window

The woman recalled that, as the lion moved closer, the man opened her car window and locked the controls, preventing her from closing it.

She said she begged him to close the window, but he continued laughing despite the animal getting closer.

The woman said, “I realised this lion was now walking faster towards my window.”

She eventually managed to fight her way to the controls and close the window when the lion was only a few feet away from the car.

Woman ends relationship after scary safari incident

Following the frightening encounter, the woman said she ordered the man to turn the car around.

She explained that because it was her car, she told him she was dropping him off and subsequently never spoke to him again.

Reflecting on the incident, the woman said, “That was so scary and he was laughing saying “What’s wrong with me?”

Her experience highlights the risks involved in self-drive safaris, where visitors can encounter wild animals at close range without the barriers typically found in conventional zoos.

The story has also drawn attention to how people react differently to frightening situations, with the woman’s decision to end the relationship stemming not only from the lion encounter but also from her partner’s reaction while she was terrified.
