We Have Restored Dignity To Labour In Osun, Says Adeleke

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has said his administration has restored dignity to workers in the state through improved welfare, regular salary payments and the settlement of inherited arrears.

Adeleke stated this in a post on X on Monday, ahead of the August 15 governorship election in the state.

The governor said his administration had backed its commitment to workers’ welfare with concrete actions, including the payment of inherited salary backlogs, pensioners’ gratuities and promotion arrears.

“Our administration’s commitment to the welfare of our dedicated and hardworking workers is not just a promise; we have backed it with visible action. We have restored dignity to the labour force in Osun,” Adeleke said.

He said the payment of salaries should not be regarded as a political achievement but as the responsibility of government and the rightful reward for the labour of serving and retired workers.

Adeleke also highlighted regular training and capacity development for workers, saying his administration had prioritised their welfare as a central pillar of governance.

“We promised to restore dignity to labour, and we have kept that promise,” the governor said.

Adeleke is seeking re-election in the August 15 Osun State governorship election.
