U20 Championships: Nigeria Sets U20 Record In Mixed 4x100m Relays
Nigeria finished fourth in the mixed 4x100m relay final at the World U20 Championships in Eugene, with the quartet of Tejiri Godwin, Chigozie Rosemary Nwankwo, Perfect Faye and Miracle Ezechukwu setting a new National U20 Record of 41.77 seconds. Nigeria finished fourth in the mixed 4x100m relay final at the World U20 Championships in Eugene, with the quartet of Tejiri Godwin, Chigozie Rosemary Nwankwo, Perfect Faye and Miracle Ezechukwu setting a new National U20 Record of 41.77 seconds.
According to a post by Making of Champions on X, Nigeria delivered a strong performance in the final, with Ezechukwu producing another impressive anchor leg to help the team climb three places.
The young Nigerian quartet had trailed in seventh position before Ezechukwu surged through the field, recording a 9.89-second split to bring Nigeria home in fourth place.
Making of Champions noted that the performance further underlined Ezechukwu’s growing reputation as one of Nigeria’s fastest relay runners.

“Ezechukwu once again closed hard on anchor, moving Nigeria from 7th to 4th with a 9.89s split,” Making of Champions posted.
The performance means Ezechukwu now holds two of the fastest anchor legs ever recorded by a Nigerian woman in the 4x100m relay.
The fourth-place finish also saw Nigeria set a new National U20 Record of 41.77 seconds in the mixed 4x100m event.
