Transfer: Arsenal to sell Martinelli for club-record fee

Arsenal are set to break their club record for the sale of a player with Gabriel Martinelli.
The Premier League champions are negotiating a fee of around £60 million with Al Hilal for the player.
Football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano wrote on X: “Al Hilal have made official club-to-club contact with Arsenal for Gabriel Martinelli.
“Brazilian winger opens doors to Saudi Pro League side, and he’s ahead of the two options, Pedro Neto and Francisco Conceição.”
Martinelli has already rejected Galatasaray, who were willing to pay around £45 million for him.
However, he has given the green light to Al Hilal as he prepares for life away from the Emirates.
For Arsenal, £60 million would be the most they have received for a player.
Previously, the Gunners sold Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to Liverpool for £35 million in 2017 and Nicolas Anelka to Real Madrid for €35 million in 2000.
