The Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) has reiterated its commitment to improving the welfare and professional development of Nigerian seafarers as part of efforts to strengthen the country’s maritime sector.

 

The Director-General of NIMASA, Dr Dayo Mobereola, gave the assurance while leading the agency’s management team to an engagement with the leadership of the Association of Marine Officers and Navigators of Nigeria (AMANO).

 

Mobereola said the agency remained focused on building an efficient, transparent and globally competitive maritime administration through sustained reforms, digital innovation and strategic investment in seafarer development.

 

He noted that enhancing the welfare and capacity of seafarers remains a key priority in NIMASA’s drive to position Nigeria’s maritime industry for greater competitiveness and sustainable growth.
