“My 70-year-old grandma is pregnant”

A lady has gone viral on social media after claiming that doctors informed her that her 70-year-old grandmother was pregnant following a series of medical tests.

The young lady shared the story in a video, explaining that the incident happened while she was spending her school holiday with her grandmother.

Grandma complained of persistent pain

According to her, her grandmother initially complained of pain on the left side of her body just a few days after she arrived home for the break.

She said she first thought the discomfort was related to the meal they had eaten the previous night.

“Grandma told me that she was feeling a bit pain in her left side and I was like okay fine, probably it was the semo we ate yesterday night because I was the one that made the food and we ate the same thing.”

She added that her grandmother asked to start eating amala instead, believing it might help.

However, after several weeks, the pain persisted, prompting her to inform other family members.

Grandma rushed to hospital

The lady stated her father advised her to take her grandmother to their family doctor for a medical check-up.

“My darling, before Sunday, my grandma fainted. That was when we rushed her to the hospital.”

She explained that doctors carried out several medical tests, including blood, urine and other examinations.

Pregnancy test reportedly shocked family

The lady revealed that all the initial test results came back normal, leading the family to suspect her grandmother might have fibroids.

“We thought it was even fibroid. So we did belly test only to be told she’s pregnant.”

The unexpected diagnosis left her in disbelief.

“Omo, I didn’t even know what to say because I was very confused. Nobody was at home, it was only me and my grandma. Only the two of us were always at home.”

Her story has since generated widespread reactions online, with many social media users expressing shock.
