EPL: ‘Without him we would never get there’ – Mikel Arteta singles out Arsenal star

Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, has asserted that the club would not have secured the Premier League title last season had it not been for Martin Zubimendi.

He noted that the midfielder was among the top performers in the Gunners’ lineup during the previous term.

Arteta further emphasized that Zubimendi’s contributions have bolstered Arsenal’s squad.

In a press conference prior to their match against Coventry, Arteta praised Zubimendi.

He elaborated on the midfielder’s significance to the team as they approach the new season, stating via Afcstuff on X,

“Martin Zubimendi was undoubtedly one of the best players for Arsenal last season. Without his presence, we would not have reached the position we achieved in the final weeks. His importance to us cannot be overlooked.”

Zubimendi was a crucial player who enabled the Gunners to contend for multiple trophies last season, netting five goals and providing one assist in 38 Premier League appearances.

The midfielder aims to assist the Gunners in securing various trophies, including the UEFA Champions League title for the 2026-27 season.
