CP Ajo Geoffrey Ordue has assumed duty as the 49th Commissioner of Police of the Cross River State Command following his deployment by the Inspector-General of Police.

Ordue brings more than three decades of experience in the Nigeria Police Force, having served in various commands and specialised formations, with experience spanning operations, investigations, administration and strategic leadership.

Upon assuming office, the new commissioner said his priorities would include strengthening crime prevention, intelligence-led policing and community engagement across the state.

He also pledged to deepen collaboration with sister security agencies to enhance security and effectively respond to emerging threats.

Ordue called for the support and cooperation of residents, traditional and community leaders, as well as youth and women groups, particularly through the provision of timely and credible information to security agencies.

He said collective efforts between the police and the people would be essential to maintaining peace and security across Cross River State.
