The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has announced that its ongoing recruitment exercise has entered the final stages and will be completed within four weeks.

The board disclosed this in a statement signed by its Secretary, Maj Gen. (Rtd) AM Jibril, on Friday, August 21.

The announcement comes amid growing anticipation among applicants who participated in the recruitment exercise.

The CDCFIB said the large number of applications received nationwide had required a thorough selection process to ensure fairness and transparency.

“The large number of applications received across the country places upon the board the duty of ensuring that there is a comprehensive, just, and transparent selection into the services, both on the part of the applicants and the processes involved,” the board said.

It explained that it deliberately avoided rushing the exercise to ensure that the selection process complied with established principles and the operational requirements of the four services.

“It is the intention of the CDCFIB not to rush the entire recruitment process, but to bring it to completion without any prejudice to the principles of justice, merit, federal character, due process, and the operational requirements of the four services,” it said.

According to the board, the recruitment process has already taken place and is now at its final stage.

“The recruitment process has taken place, and it has now reached its last stages, which will be completed within four weeks,” the statement added.

The board said successful candidates would be notified through the official recruitment platform once the process is concluded.

“Once this process is completed, candidates will be informed via the recruitment platform at the following web address: https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng,” it said.

The CDCFIB thanked applicants for their patience throughout the recruitment exercise and assured them that their patience would be rewarded.

“We sincerely thank all candidates for their patience and we assure the public that the candidates’ patience shall surely be rewarded,” the board said.
