A pro-Tinubu support group, BTO4PBAT ’27, has condemned what it described as recent public attacks and inflammatory comments attributed to the Senior Special Assistant to the Ondo State Governor on Public Communication, Dr. Debo Akinbami, against the Minister of Interior, Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo.

While acknowledging the existence of political differences within the party, the group stressed that such disagreements should not degenerate into personal attacks, character assassination, or inflammatory rhetoric capable of deepening divisions within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State.

The group urged all stakeholders to place the larger interest of the party above personal disagreements and political calculations.

Dr. Akinbami had alleged that the political ambition of the Minister of Interior was creating divisions within the APC in the state ahead of future elections. In a statement, he claimed that a group of party elders, allegedly aligned with the minister, recently held a meeting in Akure under the guise of mobilising support for President Bola Tinubu, but were instead working to undermine Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa.

Responding, BTO4PBAT ’27, through its Director General, Adojutelegan Adesuyi, said the APC should remain focused on consolidating its gains, supporting the administration of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, and mobilising effectively for the re-election of President Tinubu, as well as the success of all APC candidates in the 2027 general elections.

The group called on political appointees and party stakeholders to exercise restraint and embrace responsible communication, noting that public discourse within the party should be anchored on facts, mutual respect, and maturity rather than needless confrontation.

BTO4PBAT ’27 reaffirmed that its priority remains the unity, peace, and electoral success of the APC, insisting that the party cannot afford internal distractions at a time it should be building a formidable political structure ahead of 2027.

It also urged Governor Aiyedatiwa to call his aides to order over what it described as unguarded statements against the minister.
