Bandits set community ablaze after killing several residents in Zamfara

Several people have been killed and others injured after bandits attacked communities in Zamfara State, destroying homes and forcing residents to flee for safety.
The attacks occurred on Sunday afternoon in Bardoki community in Gummi Local Government Area and Bunkasau in Bukkuyum Local Government Area of the state.
The development was contained in a post shared on X on Sunday by security analyst Bakatsine.
“This afternoon, bandits attacked Bardoki in Gummi LGA and Bunkasau in Bukkuyum LGA of Zamfara State. The attacks left several people dead and others injured, with homes and properties destroyed. Many residents were forced to flee their communities for safety. Civilian JTF members who moved towards Bunkasau to respond to the situation also fell into a bandit ambush,” Bakatsine wrote.
“After the attack on Bardoki, the bandits set Ruwan-Kura community ablaze, forcing residents to flee. Some are now taking refuge in Daki Takwas, while others have sought safety in Dargaje. These are people losing their homes, their loved ones and everything they have built,” Bakatsine stated.
