“You cannot run away from your responsibility”

A young Nigerian lady has publicly called out her ex-husband and father of her child, accusing him of abandoning their son and refusing to provide for his upkeep.

The lady, identified as Hope Neche, made the allegations in a lengthy Facebook post, where she appealed to the public to help persuade him to take responsibility for their child.

Hope had previously gone viral after revealing details about the collapse of her marriage shortly after welcoming her first child.

Mother accuses ex-husband of neglect

In her post, Hope alleged that the last time her ex-husband saw their son was when she was admitted to the hospital and asked him to care for the child temporarily.

“The last time he saw his child was when I begged him to come and carry him to his house because I wanted to get admitted to the hospital. He took him and brought him back when I was discharged,” she wrote.

She claimed that despite her health condition at the time, he neither expressed concern for her nor responded when she begged to see their son while she was hospitalized.

“While I was in the hospital, I begged him to bring my son so I could see him because I didn’t want to die without at least seeing my child one last time. My innocent ex-husband read my message and didn’t reply.”

“His provisions have finished”

Hope further alleged that their son had not seen his father since he promised to visit him.

“He cried non-stop, and the ekperima I married told him not to worry, that he would see him on Sunday. A lot of Sundays have passed, yet this boy has not seen his father.”

She also claimed she has been solely responsible for providing for the child and appealed for him to contribute to their son’s welfare.

“His provisions have finished! I cannot kill myself to provide all his needs while still looking for money to pay our rent.”

Woman vows to keep demanding support

The woman accused her former husband of refusing to pay child support despite fathering the child.

“You cannot run away from your responsibility. The night you impregnated me, you should have used a condom, but you refused. Even though I bought it, now you don’t want to pay child support after enjoying raw sex!

“Vengeance is of the Lord, but I will drag first — you and whoever tries to defend you!” she wrote.
