Otunba Senator Daniel has repeatedly called for unity and fair play among all contestants jostling for the Ogun State governorship, a position he reiterated as recently as last week at a public event attended by leaders across party lines in the state. His office argued that this record could not be overshadowed by a doctored audio whose origin, completeness, and context remain unverified by anyone beyond those who chose to release it.

The statement further raised questions over the timing and method of the recording’s release, noting that whoever was responsible had opted for covert distribution rather than open political engagement, a choice the office described as worthy of scrutiny in its own right. Daniel’s legal team, according to the statement, has since been briefed on the matter, with the office reserving the right to pursue available remedies against those found responsible for the doctored recording and its circulation.
