Peter Okoye Hits Back At Critics…

The singer addressed the criticism in a series of posts shared on his social media pages, where he dismissed the debate and urged Nigerians to focus on more pressing national issues rather than his family’s private decisions.

Reacting to the backlash, Peter said insults and online criticism would not affect his success, adding that the controversy over his children’s language abilities was unnecessary.

 “No amount of insult dey stop person progress or success! So continue! Language identity my a$$,” he wrote.

The music star also questioned why his children’s language skills had become a topic of public discussion despite the country’s numerous social and economic challenges.

“With everything going on in Nigeria, your biggest concern is whether my children speak Nigerian languages? Out of all the real issues facing the country, this is what keeps you awake? Una never ready for our country.”

Peter maintained that every parent has the right to decide how to raise their children and should not be subjected to public judgment over such personal choices.

He challenged critics to teach their own children any languages they wished, stressing that his family’s decisions were nobody else’s concern.

“When it’s your turn, teach your own kids all the languages in Nigeria if that’s your choice. As for me and my family, we’re good. Go and find another place to pour your frustration.”

The singer further argued that whether or not his children speak a Nigerian language has no impact on anyone else’s life, asking critics what benefit they would derive if his children were fluent in their native tongue.

He ended his remarks with a blunt message, repeatedly telling critics to “MYB” (Mind Your Business) and urging them to stop interfering in his family’s affairs.
