NPFL: Imama reflects on Abia Warriors’ home loss to Niger Tornadoes
The Umu Chineke lost 1-0 to Kabiru Dogo’s side at the Enyimba International Stadium, Aba on Sunday.
Wasiu Jimoh scored the decisive goal for Niger Tornadoes four minutes before the hour mark.
It was the first away win of the season for the Ikon Allah Boys, and it propelled them to ninth position on the league table with 15 points from 10 matches.
Imama praised the visitors for showing stronger character in the game.
“I think Tornadoes showed character and resilience to come here and produce such a great performance, and it is a big lesson for us,” Imama was quoted by the NPFL media.
