Large numbers of Boko Haram terrorists have reportedly been sighted moving in parts of Hong Local Government Area of Adamawa State as Gaya-Dlang community comes under attack, raising fears of further violence and placing neighbouring communities on heightened alert, according to security sources and local clerics who spoke with TruthNigeria.

Reverend Manasseh Mbafe, Secretary of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Hong LGA Chapter, and other clerics described the situation as chaotic, warning of growing fear among residents as the security situation deteriorates.

“Everywhere is in chaos this night,” the sources told TruthNigeria, urging neighbouring communities to remain on red alert amid fears of possible further attacks.

HIGH-RISK COMMUNITIES: RED ALERT

Residents of Gaya, Garaha, Hildi, Uba, Kwarhi, Mayo Lope, and surrounding settlements near Gaya-Dlang are urged to exercise heightened vigilance while security agencies urgently assess the threat. The inclusion of these communities reflects a precautionary warning; direct threats against each settlement have not been independently confirmed.

SAFETY ADVISORY

Residents should avoid unnecessary night travel and isolated routes, remain alert to suspicious movements, maintain contact with trusted community leaders, and report credible security information to the appropriate authorities. Families should keep essential medicines, identification documents, and emergency supplies ready in case movement to safety becomes necessary.

Security agencies are urged to investigate the reported terrorist movements, respond swiftly to the attack on Gaya-Dlang, strengthen patrols around vulnerable communities, and take immediate steps to prevent further casualties.

TruthNigeria has not independently verified the reported terrorist movements or the full details of the attack. Residents should follow verified security advisories and avoid spreading unconfirmed reports.
