Disowned PFIPC DG Takes Down Social Media Accounts, Websites

Adeniyi Adeyemi, who claimed to be the Director-General of the disputed Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC), has taken down his social media accounts and personal websites amid growing public scrutiny.

Checks showed that Adeyemi’s main Facebook account, @Emperor2019, which contained details of his activities, is no longer accessible.

A website linked to the Facebook profile was also unavailable as of the time of filing this report.

The Presidency has accused Adeyemi of forging a government appointment letter and parading himself as the head of a non-existent agency.

Before the Facebook account was deactivated, Adeyemi reportedly had about 9,300 followers.

On the profile, he described himself as an “astute administrator” and “financial wizard.”

He also presented himself as a senior government-linked official and used the page to promote activities connected to the disputed council.

The account reportedly contained posts about diplomatic visits, high-level meetings and a pre-summit dinner attended by members of the diplomatic corps, development partners, government officials and private sector leaders.

Adeyemi also reportedly took down websites linked to previous and planned projects, including the 2026 World Investment Summit scheduled for October.

The event, themed “Unlocking Capital, Accelerating Development, Driving Prosperity,” had reportedly been promoted as capable of generating 5 trillion naira in foreign direct investment.

Other accounts and websites linked to his earlier activities, including claims about a World Youth Economic Summit and a World Youth University, were also no longer accessible.

FG Files Charges

The Federal Government has filed an eight-count charge of forgery and impersonation against Adeyemi before the Federal High Court.

He faces allegations of forging official documents and falsely presenting himself as the head of the PFIPC, which the Presidency insists does not exist.

Adeyemi has denied wrongdoing, accused the government of falsehood and vowed to prove his innocence in court.

The controversy has raised questions about how the disputed agency allegedly secured a budgetary allocation, opened accounts with the Central Bank of Nigeria, obtained office space at the Federal Secretariat and had senior civil servants deployed to it.
