Argentina legend Lionel Messi has warned his country’s next opponents in the 2026 World Cup, saying that he is in good form for the tournament.
Messi spoke to the media after his exceptional performance for Argentina as the beat the African team 3-0.
The former Barcelona man left the football world in awe with his extraordinary performance for Argentina.
La Pulga also made history by equalling Miroslav Klose’s goal tally in the World Cup, thus becoming the all-time leading goalscorer in the tournament’s history.
He said, “I love playing football, it has been my passion since I was little. And when I’m in good form, I give everything I have on the field. This is my sixth World Cup, and I still feel like I’m in good shape. Fortunately, I’m doing well, and today we managed to win a tough match..

In their dream run in Qatar in 2022, Argentina notably lost their debut game at the FIFA World Cup 2-1 to Saudi Arabia, before going on to win the tournament.
La Albiceleste will next face Austria (June 22) and Jordan (June 27) in the group stages. As long as Lionel Messi remains on the pitch, the defending champions remain among the major favorites to win the World Cup again.
