“Marry a kind man o” — Lady recounts husband’s care after gas explosion left her unable to walk

A woman has shared an emotional account of how her husband cared for her after she suffered severe burns to both legs in a gas explosion.

The woman explained that the incident left both of her legs bandaged, making it impossible for her to walk for several days.

According to her, her husband stepped in to support her throughout the recovery process despite not knowing how to cook.

She said he regularly ordered food before she even had the chance to complain about being hungry and constantly searched for ways to aid her healing.

Husband searches for remedies

While recalling the period after the accident, the woman revealed that her husband brought home different aloe vera products after hearing they could help burns heal faster.

She also disclosed that he later purchased a large bottle of honey from a trusted rural vendor after being told that honey could assist with burn treatment.

According to her, he did not hesitate despite the cost, insisting that her recovery remained his priority.

“When a man is unkind he knows he is unkind. A kind man will never hold back or give excuses.”

The woman also narrated a difficult night when she needed to use the bathroom but could not walk on her own. She said her husband had fallen asleep after working late and did not hear her call for help.

After struggling to reach the bathroom and accidentally wetting herself, she became overwhelmed and started crying. The sound woke her husband, who immediately rushed to assist her.
