If You’re Spending Money On Women, You’re Wasting Your Time – Spyro Warns Men
Nigerian singer Spyro has spoken on why he believes some of his colleagues in the music industry ended up broke after making money.
NEWSNGR reports that he made the comments while performing at an event over the weekend, where he talked about how fast success can lead to bad spending habits.
According to him, some artistes spent heavily on parties, travel, and relationships, especially with foreign women, instead of saving or investing their income.
Spyro said enjoying life and being generous is fine, but careless spending can destroy financial progress.
The Who’s Your Guy crooner told young men in the audience to be mindful of how they handle money and to think long term rather than living only for the moment.
The singer added that when he gained fame and wealth, many people, including social media influencers, tried to get his attention and even offered to fund trips for him.
He said he turned down such offers so he could focus on his music career and make better financial decisions.
“If you are here and you are spending money on women I think you are wasting your time. I not saying you should not spend on your woman but use your head.
“I know some of my colleagues who went broke because they made their first bag and blew it off on parties and trips to South Africa. But I didn’t move that way and that is why I am where I am,” he said.
