I Stopped Going To Church When My Career Started Taking Off – Nicki Minaj
American rapper Nicki Minaj has spoken on why she no longer goes to church, saying it changed after her music career became very busy.
She spoke in a recent episode of The Bryce Crawford podcast.
NEWSNGR reports that the singer explained that when her career started growing, her work schedule became tight, especially with performances on Friday and Saturday nights.
Because of this, she often feels too tired on Sunday mornings to attend church services.
The 43-year-old said her decision was not because she changed her beliefs or stopped caring about her faith. Instead, it was mainly due to the demands of her job as a performer, which takes most of her weekends.
Even though she does not attend church regularly anymore, she said she still believes in God and maintains a personal relationship with Him.
Nicki also shared that her journey with faith is ongoing, and she continues to try to grow spiritually in her own way.
She said: “I stopped going to church when my career started taking off because I was always working on Friday and Saturday nights, and Sunday mornings became difficult, but I still believe in God, I have a relationship with Him, and I’m trying to stay consistent even though it’s not always easy.”
