Don’t Take Me For Granted – Fayose Vows To Teach Makinde Political Lesson
Former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has vowed to teach the governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, a political lesson.
NEWSNGR reports that he stated this during an interview on Channels Television.
He warned that he is a politician who should not be taken for granted, adding that Makinde took his structure in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
He said, “We will teach Makinde a political lesson. If you respect me, you will get all my values and support, but if you disrespect me, you will get the downside of Fayose. I’m not a politician that is taken for granted.
“Makinde destroyed the South West Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and took my structure. When we are in politics, we are meant to be fair.
“Declaring for presidency was his undoing. He has the right to contest for president, but we don’t betray trust. Elections are not far away again. We will get there.”
Meanwhile, Fayose, has said President Bola Tinubu will defeat opposition presidential candidates, including Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi, even if the election is conducted 10 times.
NEWSNGR reports that Fayose spoke during an interview on EKTV while reacting to calls by some Nigerians for Tinubu to resign over the rising insecurity in the country.
The former governor said those calling for Tinubu’s resignation were supporters of opposition candidates.
Fayose said, “A lot of people on social media are asking Tinubu to resign now, but I’m saying you don’t need to fight because he still has one year left.
“Now all those agitating on social media have candidates they are supporting; some are with Peter Obi, others are with Atiku; it’s still somebody you want to collect from Atiku and give.”
Fayose said Tinubu remained politically strong and would not surrender power to the opposition.
He said, “But I’m explaining that if the election is conducted 10 times, Tinubu will defeat all of them.
“Somebody whom Buhari did not support, but he struggled and emerged President, will now fold his hands and allow the opposition to take over power from him? Even me, this little thing, will finish them.”
