Ajadi made the declaration on Friday, November 6, 2026, while speaking with journalists at the flag-off of Olatunji’s campaign in Oluyole Local Government Area of Oyo State.

The event attracted party leaders, political stakeholders, supporters and other dignitaries who gathered to show their support for Olatunji’s ambition ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Speaking on the candidate’s suitability for the position, Ajadi said Olatunji’s experience in local government administration and close relationship with residents had given him a good understanding of the challenges facing the constituency.

“Engr. Akeem Olatunji has demonstrated that he has what it takes to represent the people of Oluyole at the House of Representatives. His experience in local government administration and connection with the grassroots give him a clear understanding of the needs and aspirations of the people,” Ajadi said.

The APM chieftain urged voters to look beyond campaign promises and assess candidates based on their records in public service, leadership abilities and commitment to the welfare of the people.

He expressed confidence that Olatunji, if elected, would effectively represent Oluyole’s interests at the National Assembly and pursue initiatives capable of attracting development to the constituency.

Ajadi also called on party members and supporters to close ranks and intensify grassroots mobilisation, noting that unity and sustained engagement with voters would be crucial to the party’s chances in the forthcoming election.

The campaign flag-off provided an opportunity for APM leaders and supporters to rally behind Olatunji and restate their commitment to his aspiration to represent Oluyole Federal Constituency.

Olatunji, who currently heads Oluyole Local Government, is seeking to build on his experience in grassroots administration by taking his political career to the National Assembly, where he hopes to represent the constituency in the Green Chamber.
