The delegation will be led by the Chairman of the National Sports Commission, NSC, Mallam Shehu Dikko, alongside the Commission’s Director General, Bukola Olopade.

Also expected to be part of the delegation is the Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service, CG Adewale Adeniyi.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino and CAF President Patrice Motsepe are equally expected to attend the much-anticipated showdown.

Nigeria will battle Japan in the tournament’s final, which is also the 52nd match of the competition, at Pitch 3 of the Mohammed VI Football Complex in Rabat, Morocco, on Saturday night.

The Flamingos will be chasing a historic milestone, as victory would make Nigeria the first African country to win the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.

However, standing in their way is a formidable Japanese side making its fourth appearance in the final. Japan previously claimed the trophy in 2014 and will be seeking another triumph.
