Suspected bandit threatens to kill all men in Niger community [Video]

A suspected bandit has threatened to kill men and force an indigenous community out of Borgu Local Government Area of Niger State, according to a video circulating on social media.
In the video, the man allegedly threatened to spare women and children but kill all the men in the community.
The threat has raised concerns about the safety of residents amid persistent insecurity and fears of forced displacement in affected communities.
The development was disclosed by Bakatsine, a conflict reporter covering northwestern Nigeria, in a post on X on Friday.
Bakatsine shared the video, drawing attention to the alleged threat against the community and the danger facing residents.
However, the identity of the man in the video and the authenticity of the threat could not be independently verified at the time of filing this report.
DAILY POST reports that the threat comes amid continuing concerns over insecurity in parts of Nigeria, where armed groups have terrorised communities, abducted residents and forced people to flee their homes.
Residents are increasingly concerned about their safety, while calls have continued for security agencies to take decisive action to protect vulnerable communities.
