1. SITUATION SUMMARY

Credible intelligence indicates a large‑scale mobilization of armed Fulani militants in staging grounds east and south of Jos, Plateau State. More than 200 fighters have reportedly been deployed from Bauchi, Nasarawa, and Kaduna States to reinforce existing militia units already positioned inside Plateau.

The stated intent, according to intelligence sources, is coordinated attacks on Christian ethnic communities across multiple LGAs.

As of 19:00 WAT, a vanguard group initially staged at Shere Hills (Jos East) has repositioned to hills between Kadunu District (Mangu LGA) and Maijuju (Jos East). This group is believed to have first‑strike orders.
