Yayi Announces Completion of Simawa-Kaniyi Road in Ogun State

The Senator representing Ogun West Senatorial District, Solomon Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, has announced the completion and delivery of the 2-kilometre Simawa-Kaniyi Road in Sagamu Local Government Area of Ogun State.
Yayi, who is also the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate for the 2027 election in Ogun State, made the announcement in a post on X.
“We are pleased to announce the completion and delivery of the 2-kilometre Simawa–Kaniyi Road in Sagamu Local Government Area, complemented by solar-powered streetlights,” he said.
According to the senator, the road project is expected to improve connectivity between communities in the area while making movement safer and easier for residents and other road users.
He said the installation of solar-powered streetlights would particularly improve visibility and security along the route at night.
“This vital project will significantly improve connectivity, strengthen security and make movement safer and easier for residents and other road users, particularly at night,” Yayi said.
He added that the project would also support economic and social activities in the area by improving access and movement within the community.

The senator said the intervention was part of efforts to provide essential infrastructure and extend what he described as the dividends of democracy to communities across Ogun State.
“The intervention reflects our unwavering commitment to facilitating essential infrastructure and extending the dividends of democracy to communities across Ogun State,” he said.
The Simawa-Kaniyi Road is located within Sagamu Local Government Area, one of the local government areas in Ogun West Senatorial District, which Yayi represents in the National Assembly.
