Tobi Amusan Claims Silver In 100m Hurdles In Budapest
Tobi Amusan has finished second in the women’s 100m hurdles final at the World Athletics Ultimate Championship in Budapest, Hungary. Tobi Amusan has finished second in the women’s 100m hurdles final at the World Athletics Ultimate Championship in Budapest, Hungary.
The Nigerian clocked 12.34 seconds to claim the silver medal, finishing behind American hurdler Masai Russell, who won the race in 12.22 seconds.
In a post by Making of Champions on X, Amusan’s runner-up finish earns her $75,000 in prize money.
The post reads, “Tobi Amusan finishes 2nd in the women’s 100mH final at the World Ultimate Championship in Budapest!
“She clocked 12.34s to finish behind Masai Russell 🇺🇸, who took the win in 12.22s.
Amusan takes home $75,000 for her runner-up finish.”
The World Athletics Ultimate Championship is holding in Budapest from September 11 to 13, featuring some of the world’s leading athletes across various track and field events.
