Tinubu’s ‘drug trafficking’: We’re often taken out of context – US firm

A United States-based political advisory and lobbying firm, Von Batten-Montague-York, has said that most of its posts concerning alleged drug trafficking linked to Nigeria’s President Bola Tinubu are taken out of context.
Von Batten-Montague-York made the assertion in a statement posted on its verified X handle on Friday.
The firm urged journalists, commentators, government officials and members of the public to quote its statements precisely and present them in their proper context.
DAILY POST reports that Von Batten-Montague-York is the firm probing the drug trafficking allegation involving President Tinubu.
“Many of our posts appear to be taken out of context, exaggerated, or characterized in ways that go beyond what we actually stated, particularly by certain foreign individuals and organizations.
“There is an important difference between what we state as fact, what we attribute to official US government or court records, and what we expressly identify as our analysis, opinion, or speculation.
“Those distinctions are intentional and should not be erased, blurred, or misrepresented when reporting on or responding to our work. We appreciate your understanding,” the firm stated.
