Motorists have taken to social media to complain about severe traffic congestion along the Lagos-Ogun corridor, with some claiming they spent between eight and 10 hours on the road.
The complaints, posted on Tuesday, described the traffic situation as unusually difficult, with motorists reporting prolonged delays in both directions.
One social-media user said his brother spent about 10 hours in the gridlock before eventually getting home.
Another motorist said he was stuck for almost eight hours, describing the situation on both lanes as “hell”.

One post simply described the situation as “crazy”, while another user said, “Today’s own is the worst I have ever seen.”
The posts also suggested that the congestion was affecting motorists travelling both towards Lagos and out of the city, although the specific cause and extent of the traffic could not be independently established from the social-media reports.

The reports have renewed concerns over the recurring traffic challenges faced by commuters along the busy Lagos-Ogun axis.
