The Lagos State House of Assembly has confirmed 12 nominees forwarded by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for appointments into three state commissions and agencies.
The confirmation followed the consideration of the report of the 12-member Screening Committee, presented by its Chairman, Fatai Mojeed, during plenary on Tuesday.
Two nominees, Murusiq Durosimi and Ahmed Seriki, were confirmed as members of the Lagos State Local Government Service Commission.

For the Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Agency Board, the Assembly confirmed former Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Yetunde Longe, alongside Goriola Oyenusi, Bode Makinde, Adekunle Adelaja and Opeyemi Adetunji.
The lawmakers also confirmed Kikelomo Dawodu, Bukola Ogunowo, Omotayo Gbajabiamila-Olamona, Bowale Shosimi and Sunday Kappo as members of the Lagos State Audit Service Commission.
Presenting the committee’s report, Mojeed said the nominees were assessed based on their credentials, performance, appearance and comportment during the screening exercise.
He said the committee’s recommendations were subject to consideration and approval by the full House.
The Speaker, Mudashiru Obasa, thereafter subjected the recommendations to a voice vote, with the lawmakers unanimously adopting the report and confirming all 12 nominees.
