JUST IN: Wanted Suspect Olalekan Oyeyemi Killed In Osun

A wanted suspected criminal in Osun State, Olalekan Oyeyemi, popularly known as Emir, has been killed. Oyeyemi, also known as Ajagungbade, was allegedly killed during a peace meeting between two factional groups within the state’s Park Management System. He was said to have travelled to Ile-Ife for a peace meeting……
A wanted suspected criminal in Osun State, Olalekan Oyeyemi, popularly known as Emir, has been killed.
Oyeyemi, also known as Ajagungbade, was allegedly killed during a peace meeting between two factional groups within the state’s Park Management System.
He was said to have travelled to Ile-Ife for a peace meeting with a group loyal to the factional chairman of the NURTW, Nurudeen Alowonle. The group was reportedly led by the chairman of the mini-bus operators, identified as Sobi, at the Mayfair area of Ile-Ife.
As at the time of filing this report, details surrounding the incident remained sketchy.

Meanwhile, the Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has ordered the Commissioner of Police to immediately arrest all those involved in the killing of Ajagungbade, also known as Emir.
In a statement by the Governor’s spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, Governor Adeleke also directed the immediate vacation of motor parks by the warring groups and the establishment of a Park Management System with immediate effect.
The statement said the killing was allegedly linked to a leadership tussle over the control of motor parks.
The governor further directed security agencies to restore normalcy across the motor parks and ensure the maintenance of law and order across the state.
Governor Adeleke also promised to issue an Executive Order for the establishment of a Park Management System to restore discipline and orderliness in motor parks across the state, while charging the Commissioner of Police to immediately arrest all those involved in the killing.
