Interswitch seeks better digital payments across schools

Interswitch, an integrated payments and digital commerce company, has engaged education portal providers across Southwest Nigeria on improving digital payment collection in schools.

The engagement was held at the inaugural Interswitch Connect: Portal Providers Edition at the Signature Hotel, Ibadan.

The forum brought together education technology partners, portal providers and Interswitch representatives to discuss the payment needs of schools and approaches to improving payment collection and operational efficiency.

Participants also examined the role of digital payment infrastructure in school administration, as institutions increasingly use digital platforms for admissions, school management and fee collection.

They discussed how closer collaboration between payment providers and education technology partners could help address operational challenges, simplify payment processes and improve the payment experience for educational institutions, parents and students.

Speaking at the event, Blessing Ogbonna, Head, Digital Payments, Interswitch, said the forum reflected the company’s commitment to working with ecosystem partners to develop payment solutions for the education sector.
