Hilda Baci Applauds Akwa Ibom Development Under Umo Eno

Nigerian chef and Guinness World Record holder, Hilda Baci, has applauded the pace of development in Akwa Ibom State under Governor Umo Eno, highlighting the state’s infrastructure, peaceful atmosphere and growing investment opportunities.

Baci made the remarks on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, during a visit to the governor at the Government House in Uyo, where she also described Akwa Ibom as “amazingly beautiful”.

The chef, who is an indigene of the state, praised the facilities at the Victor Attah International Airport, describing the infrastructure as first-rate and impressive.

She also commended the hospitality and industrious nature of Akwa Ibom residents, while expressing her willingness to partner with relevant stakeholders to support the state’s development.

Baci urged tourists and investors to explore Akwa Ibom’s environmental, recreational and hospitality attractions, saying the opportunities available in the state could help businesses maximise their potential and contribute to economic growth.

She also called on residents to continue promoting love, unity and peace to create an environment capable of attracting sustainable development.

During the visit, Governor Eno commended Baci for what he described as her bold and adventurous spirit, saying her achievements demonstrated how determination and courage could help individuals overcome barriers and attain remarkable feats.

According to a statement on the visit, the governor also praised Baci for making Akwa Ibom proud through her cooking exploits and urged her to continue promoting the state.

Those present during the visit included the Coordinator, Office of the First Lady, Helen Eno Obareki; Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Udeme Otong; and Secretary to the State Government, Enobong Uwah.
