Edo Festival 2026: London To Host Three-Day Showcase Of Culture, Business And Excellence

London is set to become a global meeting point for Edo people in November as the 2026 Edo Festival and Awards brings together the state’s traditional, cultural, business and creative communities for a three-day international celebration.

The festival, scheduled for November 20 to 22, 2026, is themed “Celebrating Our Heritage. Honouring Excellence. Building Unity.” It is expected to draw Edo sons and daughters, traditional leaders, entrepreneurs, professionals, artists, entertainers and friends of Edo State from the United Kingdom, Nigeria and other parts of the diaspora.

Founded in 2011 by Ambassador Ken Odeh, founder of Edo Festival and Awards and Chief Executive Officer of JJ Barry Conglomerate, the initiative has evolved from a cultural gathering into a wider platform connecting Edo heritage with business, investment, creativity and community development.

The three-day programme will open on Friday, November 20, with the Edo Summit, featuring a Business and Investment Forum, leadership and community development discussions, networking sessions and panels designed to connect entrepreneurs, investors and professionals.

Saturday will provide the cultural high point of the festival with the Cultural Festival and Awards Presentation. Traditional Edo dances, a cultural parade, musical performances and a gala dinner will form part of the programme, while distinguished achievers in business, politics, philanthropy, entertainment, entrepreneurship and media will be honoured.

The festival will close on Sunday, November 22, with an Art Exhibition featuring Edo arts and crafts, historical artefacts and contemporary creative works.

Artists will also have opportunities to network while members of the public view the exhibition.

Odeh, who established the festival to promote Edo culture and strengthen connections among Edo people outside Nigeria, said the 2026 edition represents another phase in the initiative’s development.

Over the years, the festival has combined cultural exhibitions with fashion, food, music, awards and business engagement, while its community initiatives have supported widows, orphans and disadvantaged families through scholarships and vocational training.

Organisers said this year’s edition is also intended to deepen cultural identity among younger generations of Edo people in the diaspora and demonstrate how heritage can contribute to tourism, investment and local development.
