Davido announces three-night concert at national theatre

Nigerian Afrobeats star, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has announced a three-night concert residency at the National Theatre, Iganmu, Lagos, in December.
Davido made the announcement on his verified Instagram page on Friday, unveiling “Oriadè: The Residency”, scheduled for December 17 to 19.
In the caption accompanying the announcement, the singer wrote: “LAGOS!!! We bringing it HOME! 15 years of madness and there’s nowhere I’d rather be.
“The world has shown us so much love,” he said in the Instagram post.
The announcement featured videos of Davido performing before large audiences, alongside footage of Lagos and the National Theatre.
The residency will see the singer perform at the National Theatre for three consecutive nights.
It will mark 15 years of Davido’s career in music. The artist rose to national prominence in 2011 with the hit single “Dami Duro” and has since become one of Africa’s most successful global exports.
His catalogue includes chart-topping tracks such as “If,” “Fall,” “Aye,” and international collaborations that have helped propel Afrobeats onto major stages worldwide.
He has sold out arenas across Africa, Europe, and North America and remains one of the genre’s most influential figures.
