Court jails popular Kano TikToker for 13 months

A Magistrates’ Court sitting in Gyadi Gyadi, Kano State, has sentenced popular TikToker Usman Musa Majidadi to 13 months in prison after he pleaded guilty to charges including conspiracy, public nuisance, and making obscene remarks.
Majidadi was sentenced by Magistrate Hadiza Muhammad Hassan following a case brought against him by the Kano State Government.
During the proceedings, the government’s counsel, Garzali Maigari Bichi, presented the charges before the court. The defendant pleaded guilty after the charges were read to him on the orders of the magistrate.
The court sentenced him to seven months in prison, or a fine of N70,000, for conspiracy.
He was further sentenced to three months in prison without an option of a fine for public nuisance, and another three months without an option of a fine for making obscene and indecent remarks.
The court also ordered Majidadi to delete all obscene comments and videos he had posted on his TikTok account.
