Nigeria will take on Cameroon in today’s CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, WAFCON, quarter-final tie at the Larbi Zaouli Stadium in Casablanca, Morocco.

The Super Falcons head to the game after finishing in second place in Group C, while Cameroon finished as Group D winners.

DAILY POST brings you six facts about the Nigeria vs Cameroon clash:

Both teams will clash at the WAFCON competition for the 14th time in history.

They have met at every stage of a WAFCON competition, and this will be their second quarter-final meeting, following the Super Falcons’ 1-0 win in the last-8 in 2022.

Nigeria have dominated the previous 13 meetings against Cameroon. They won nine in open play and another two on penalties, while the Indomitable Lionesses have won one and drawn one.

The Super Falcons have scored 33 goals against Cameroon in their previous 13 WAFCON meetings and conceded 6.

They have also kept eight clean sheets against the Indomitable Lionesses.

The 2018 semi-final remains the only goalless encounter in the last 13 WAFCON meetings between the two teams.
