UK-based Nigerian woman who lost two children vows never to return

A Nigerian woman based in the United Kingdom has sparked reactions online after revealing that she would not return to Nigeria even if offered £15 million, citing the loss of two children to alleged medical negligence.
The woman made the disclosure during a street interview with a social media interviewer @dammiedammie35, which has since gone viral on social media.
According to her, her decision to leave Nigeria was not motivated by financial reasons but by painful experiences she endured after losing two children within a short period.
She claimed the deaths resulted from medical negligence that led to a family tragedy, which has left a lasting scar on her life.
The UK-based woman further stated that the experience shattered her confidence in the country’s healthcare system, insisting that no amount of money would convince her to relocate back to Nigeria.
Her remarks have generated widespread debate online, with many Nigerians expressing sympathy over her loss while others pointed to ongoing concerns about healthcare delivery and medical accountability in the country.
Similar allegations of medical negligence have fuelled public discussions in recent years.
The viral video continues to attract reactions across social media platforms, with users sharing differing views on migration, healthcare challenges and quality of life in Nigeria.
@AdaezeWrites: “This is heartbreaking. No parent should have to bury a child because of alleged medical negligence.”
@NaijaObserver: “People often think migration is only about money. Stories like this show that safety and healthcare matter too.”
@ChuksOfficial: “If her claims are true, authorities must strengthen accountability in the health sector.”
@TeeClassic: “Losing one child is painful enough. Losing two is a tragedy no family should experience.”
@EmmyTalks: “Her story reflects why many Nigerians continue to seek better opportunities and public services abroad.”
@TheRealMide: “This isn’t just about relocation; it’s about trust in the healthcare system.”
