Transfer: ‘I’ll miss you’ – Arda Güler reacts as another Real Madrid player leaves

Real Madrid star, Arda Güler, has sent a message to former teammate, Gonzalo Garcia following his transfer to Fulham. 

The striker was sold this week after former Real Madrid boss, Alvaro Arbeloa persuaded him to join Premier League team, Fulham.

Shortly after the announcement of the move on Instagram, Güler commended the Spaniard for being a humble and diligent individual off the field. 

He said that the young player has rightfully earned his place in the Premier League and stated:

He wrote, “Thank you for your quality on the pitch and for your friendship off the pitch. Humble, hardworking, and a good person. 

“That’s how I’ll always remember you. From the youth academy to the first team, you’ve earned it all. I’m going to miss my dressing room neighbor. Good luck, brother. I’ll always be rooting for you.”

Fulham signed Garcia for a reported fee of €40 million, although they only possess 70% of his rights. Los Blancos maintain a 30% stake and are monitoring his progress at Craven Cottage.

The young Spaniard, who gained recognition last summer during the FIFA Club World Cup, has signed a contract with Fulham that extends until 2031. 

The 22-year-old expressed his thoughts on the decision, saying, “I’m very grateful, very happy to be here. I have to thank the board and Arbeloa for the trust they’ve put in me, and I’m very, very excited to start.”

Garcia reunites with Arbeloa, under whom he has played 32 matches for both the senior and youth teams. He has made 32 appearances under the manager, netting 10 goals and providing three assists..
