Southwest APC Leaders Rally Behind Oyebamiji Ahead August 15 Poll

Southwest leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have reaffirmed their support for the party’s campaign in the build-up to the August 15 Osun State governorship election, pledging unity and coordinated efforts to secure victory.

The meeting, held on Sunday at the Lagos State House in Marina, brought together the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, APC chieftain Chief Bisi Akande, and the party’s governorship candidates from Oyo, Ogun and Lagos states.

Speaking after the meeting, the APC’s Osun governorship candidate said the strategic engagement focused on reviewing campaign plans, aligning efforts and strengthening collaboration ahead of the election.

“The meeting presented an opportunity to review our plans, align our efforts, and reinforce our shared commitment to delivering victory for the All Progressives Congress in the August 15 governorship election,” the candidate said.

He said the discussions reaffirmed unity and shared determination as key strengths of the ruling party in the Southwest.

“I am inspired by the invaluable insights, encouragement and unwavering support of our leaders, whose wealth of experience continues to strengthen our resolve to build a winning campaign and offer Osun the purposeful leadership it deserves,” he added.

The candidate said his campaign would focus on restoring sustainable economic growth, creating opportunities for young people, empowering residents and delivering responsible governance across Osun State.

“Our mission remains clear: to restore sustainable economic growth, create opportunities for our youth, empower our people, and deliver responsible governance that will improve the lives of every resident of Osun State,” he said.

He also pledged continued engagement with stakeholders and communities across the state while expressing confidence that the APC would emerge victorious.

“With the support of our party, the National Campaign Council and the good people of Osun State, we will, by the grace of God, secure victory and usher in a new era of shared prosperity for our dear state,” he said.

The Osun governorship election is scheduled for August 15, with political parties intensifying campaigns across the state in the final stretch before voters head to the polls.
