Police Warn Calabar Residents – The Trumpet Newspaper Nigeria

The Cross River State Police Command has warned residents and road users to avoid locations where landslides occur in Calabar, the state capital.
The affected areas are Anansa Junction Road, between Wapi Junction and the NNS Victory Jetty axis. Others are Marina Resort, behind the Government Presidential Lodge, Calabar.
They pose a serious risk to life and property, according to a police statement issued and made available to journalists in Calabar by the Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Sunday Akata.
The warned the public not to troop to the sites out of curiosity or turn the locations into gathering or recreational centres.
The police in the statement urged parents and guardians to ensure that children and youths stay away from the affected areas.

Also, it advised motorists to use alternative routes where possible and comply with all traffic and safety directives issued by security and emergency personnel.
However, the command appealed to residents to remain vigilant, cooperate with relevant authorities, and report any emergency or suspicious activity through the appropriate channels asking that their cooperation is essential in protecting lives and property.
