Osun Decides: INEC Uploads 753 Results On I-REV Portal

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has commenced the uploading of results from the Osun State governorship election on its results viewing portal, I-REV.

Checks by TVC News Online at 4:36pm showed that 753 results had been uploaded out of the 3,763 polling units across the state’s 30 local government areas.

The figure represents 19.53 per cent of the total results expected to be uploaded to the portal.

Further checks showed that the most recent polling unit result uploaded on the portal at the time of filing the report was recorded at 4:33pm.

The I-REV portal is expected to continue receiving results as they are confirmed at individual polling units and uploaded by INEC officials.

The development comes as sorting and counting of votes continue at polling units across Osun following the conclusion of voting.

The election is a closely contested race between incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke of the Peoples Democratic Party, All Progressives Congress candidate Bola Oyebamiji and African Democratic Congress candidate Najeem Salaam, alongside other contenders.

Attention is now shifting to the collation of results, with political parties, observers and voters monitoring the I-REV portal as results emerge from across the state.
