Osun 2026: Observers Complete Training Ahead of Saturday’s Poll

Election observers have concluded a training programme in Osogbo, the Osun State capital, ahead of Saturday’s governorship election.

The training was aimed at equipping the observers with the knowledge and practical skills needed to effectively monitor the electoral process and assess compliance with relevant electoral guidelines.

The observers were also briefed on their roles in promoting transparency and credibility throughout the election.

Following the training, the observers are expected to be deployed to different parts of the state to monitor activities at polling units, voting and collation centres.

Their assignment will also cover other aspects of the electoral process as they provide independent observations on the conduct of the election.

The deployment is part of efforts by election stakeholders to strengthen transparency and public confidence in the outcome of the poll.
