Obi Is Catholic, Catholic Church Never Asked Catholics To Vote For Obi It’s Just Some Stories- Hayab

Speaking during an interview on Trust TV, Northern CAN Chairman Rev. John Joseph Hayab addressed claims linking the Catholic Church to the political ambitions of Obi, the NDC presidential candidate for the 2027 election, saying such narratives are based on misinformation rather than facts.
He said it would be unfair to suggest that Obi should stop being a Catholic because of political criticism or that the Catholic Church should distance itself from him simply because some people speak negatively about his political activities, stressing that faith and politics should not be wrongly mixed in public discussions.
