The Lagos State Government has reiterated its commitment to expanding access to quality library services across communities in the state, describing libraries as important spaces for learning, discovery and opportunity.
The state government stated this in a post on its official X handle, stressing the importance of bringing library services closer to residents, particularly children and young people.
“A library is more than a building filled with books. It is a gateway to knowledge, a space for learning, discovery and opportunity,” the government said.

“Because when we invest in libraries, we invest in people. And when we invest in people, we build the Lagos of tomorrow,” it said.
