Students who received their NELFUND upkeep allowance twice have been asked to visit their respective banks to complete the reversal of the duplicate payments.

In a notice issued to affected students, the Kwara State University Students Union said those whose duplicate payments had already been automatically recalled by their banks must sign a consent form authorising the return of the funds to the appropriate NELFUND funding account.

“The purpose of the visit is to sign the necessary consent form authorising the bank to return the recalled funds to the appropriate NELFUND funding account,” the notice said.

It added that the process “is necessary to complete the reversal process and ensure proper reconciliation of the duplicate payment.”

KWASUSU urged affected students to act without delay.

“All affected students are advised to treat this matter as urgent and comply promptly to avoid unnecessary delays in the resolution of the payment process,” the notice said.

The Union advised students seeking further clarification to contact the designated helpline or visit the university offices handling NELFUND matters.
