Aspirants of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kebbi State have unanimously endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Nasir Idris as the party’s candidates for the 2027 general elections.

The endorsement was made during the maiden meeting of the Kebbi State APC Aspirants Forum, held on Sunday at the Renewed Hope Office in GRA, Birnin Kebbi.

The forum comprised party members who either contested elective positions or stepped down in support of the APC’s consensus arrangement during the recently concluded party primaries.

The meeting brought together aspirants for the Senate, House of Representatives and the Kebbi State House of Assembly to discuss governance, party affairs and strategies for the 2027 general elections.

Presenting the communiqué issued at the end of the meeting, the Chairman of the Forum, Abdulaziz Yusuf said members unanimously resolved to support the re-election bids of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Nasir Idris.

According to the communiqué, the forum reaffirmed its unwavering loyalty to the APC and pledged to mobilise support across the state to ensure the party records a decisive victory in the 2027 general elections.

The forum also commended Governor Nasir Idris for his inclusive, pragmatic and people-centred style of leadership, noting that his administration has delivered significant developmental projects across Kebbi State.

Members appealed to the APC leadership to include representatives of the forum in campaign councils at all levels and called for sustained reconciliation among party stakeholders to strengthen unity ahead of the elections.

Speaking on behalf of the members, Alhaji Bazata expressed appreciation to Governor Idris for approving the refund of nomination form fees paid by all aspirants, describing the decision as unprecedented and a demonstration of fairness, justice and commitment to party cohesion.

He said the refund had further strengthened confidence among party members and reflected the governor’s determination to promote unity and harmony within the APC.

The forum also announced the composition of its executive committee. Alhaji Abdulaziz Yusuf Bazata emerged as Chairman, while Hon. Garba Umar Birnin Tudu was named Vice Chairman. Hon. Arzika Zaki will serve as Secretary, Hon. Bello Jibril Wasagu as Treasurer, Hon. Ibrahim Isah Basaura as Financial Secretary, and Hon. Yahaya Zakari Yauri as Public Relations Officer.

To further strengthen the forum, Engr. Ahmad Umar Faruk, Managing Director of the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency was appointed Grand Patron. Samaila Abdulmumini , Dr. Usman Sani Tunga, Kabiru Sani Giant and Umar Buro were also named as Patrons.

The forum pledged to continue working closely with the APC leadership and other stakeholders to consolidate the achievements of the Tinubu and Idris administrations while ensuring the party’s success in the 2027 general elections.
